Have we found the best stick foundation?

What's the first brand of foundation that comes to mind when you think of a universal foundation? One that's compatible with all different skin types and has a TON of shades. Well, I think of Make Up For Ever (MUFE)!

MUFE has definitely been slaying the foundation game for the past few years. Their "HD Cover Foundation" had been a cult favorite, and they've continously released even more foundations after that. Today's review is going to be on one of their newer releases which is the "Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation."

So let me start off by saying what I love about it. I absolutely love the applicator. Something is just so appealing about simply swiping the foundation stick across your face! The moment you apply the foundation stick to your face you feel a creamy/moist texture. I immediately start working the foundation into my skin with a synthetic brush and honestly it takes maybe a minute max to perfectly blend it into my skin. I actually don't blend the foundation, I just bounce the brush on each spot and it blends it best that way. I found it difficult to use a blending motion with this foundation because of it's thick/creamy texture, it just feels harsh on the skin. Also, it's full coverage so it gives me an amazing amount of coverage with just a few swipes across my face. The result is a dewy/full coverage finish on my face.

Now for the negatives! Okay, on my combination skin I found that this foundation simply DOES NOT stay in place. Even though I absolutely love the finish of the foundation immediately after applying it, it just turns into a greasy mess throughout the day. It just makes my skin look wet, and it's almost completely gone by the end of the day. It's like my skin completely soaks up the foundation. I've also tried to set my whole face with powder but that doesn't work too well either. I think I haven't quite figured out the best primer/setting powder combination for this foundation.

So who would we recommend this foundation to? Someone who has dry skin or combination skin. Keep in mind that if you do have combination skin then you most probably will have to use a mattifying primer and setting powder with this foundation!

The Cover FX Product That Deserves More Hype!

Cover FX dominated the beauty industry in 2015 with their very innovative Custom Cover Drops. With over 20 custom shades and 3 different undertones, the Custom Cover Drops allowed every client to customize the coverage of their favorite foundation, tinted moisturizer, and more complexion products.

But Cover FX didn't stop there. In 2016, they introduced the very popular Custom Enhancer Drops. The Custom Enhancer Drops took the highlighting game to a whole new level. The ultra-metallic finish is a highlight lovers dream come true! As much as everyone raves about the shades Candlelight, Celestial, and Moonlight, it's Sunkissed that we absolutely adore!

While we love a beaming highlight, we use Sunkissed for multiple and different purposes. Sunkissed is described as a light bronze on Sephora.com and Cover FX's website. While the other Custom Enhancer Drops shades provide a high-shine liquid metal finish, the Sunkissed shade is least reflective and has a a more satin finish. For light to medium complexions, Sunkissed is the perfect liquid bronzer with a not too warm, not too cool undertone. We also love adding a few drops of the Sunkissed Custom Enhancer Drops to darken up our any of our complexion products such as foundation, tinted moisturizer, and even sunscreen. It adds an instance glow-from-within radiance to the skin. Our favorite part of all Cover FX products is the purity of their ingredients. Nearly all their products are free of mineral oil, gluten, talc, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthlate), and camphor.

Next time you're in Sephora, be sure to check out the Sunkissed shade from the Custom Enhancer Drops line. You won't regret it!
